This is a neat dock I fabbed for a customer using his rough idea and my design work. He requested a an 8 x 20 dock that could fold onto an existing section of dock to keep it from being damaged by ice flow on the St. Lawrence River. The dock was built from aluminum with a white cedar deck for weight and corrosion reasons. A hand winch raises the dock from the water and allows it to pivot between the upright posts and lay flat on the permanent section for winter as can be seen in the photos.
